Last Night In London

Though there wasn't much to pack up it was a bit stressful finishing up work and Heather had been busy posting parcels home to lighten the luggage we would be hauling around for the next 8 weeks.
But when our last night finally arrived we both had a burst of energy and decided to head into town for a final dinner out.
I had been bringing home the weekly Time Out magazine as it listed great weekly activities and events. Heather had read great reviews of a tiny Taiwanese restaurant that served bao buns. An Asian version of the hamburger crossed with a steamed pork bun. These were small pillows of soft white dough stuffed with delectable Asian fusion mixes of meat fresh herbs and chopped nuts.
Due to it's tiny size and popularity there is typically a hot long wait as you queue on the street across the road.
Friday night was buzzing in Soho, with Londoners bursting out of the old pubs, beers in hand celebrating the end of the working week.
We located Bao, and decided to do like the locals and grab a beer from across the road and sip it while we queued. We struck up a conversation with the couple behind us, and got the locals recommendation on what to order. Within no time the hour on the street passed and we were ushered to a small table. The food was delicious. I would have never have ordered the pig trotter  croquettes or the pigs blood cake but these were delicious. The later very like a black pudding but with a raw egg yolk cracked on top. A challenge for even me but pleased we pushed out the boundaries. Had seconds of the house special of the bao bun, just leaving room for some crazy deserts and a cold beer.

We waddled home with full bellies, pleased with our evenings activities and headed back to the flat where all the girls were giggling and laughing around the kitchen table.
