Buscot Park

Back in the Cotswolds
We were heading off to visit some of the other renown villages in the Cotswalds, but it was a stinker of a hot day and when we passed this home and saw it was open for visits we decided to make the detour.
This has been my favourite manor home visit so far. The home gracious and well appointed, but not too ostentatious, with enough works from old masters to know they have money and position ( there were two Rembrants from memory), and you can see that while full of antique furniture and lots of old treasures, it's still lived in and comfortable.
AND the gardens were just glorious. It was another hot English day at around 27, so we appreciated the shade of the huge trees throughout the grounds.
