Heather and I had a day out exploring in London. Went to the Victoria and Albert museum, beautiful building with gorgeous exhibits. Much of their displays were reproductions of great works from all over the world, provided so local people could access the beauty of international works, particularly before travel was more cheaply available to the masses.
Jumped on the no. 11? Bus for some more sights, thanks to Rosies advice. A lovely suited business man sitting next to us offered a running commentary of all the local sights and landmarks we passed, some great history and background and advice on where we should return to and what to see. All this before stepping off for his next business meeting. Better service than the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus.
