We got the rental returned ahead of time and progressed smoothly through the airport. Once at the boarding gate though, a group of hipster journalists launched a demonstration on the other side of the glass doors at the deportation of someone named Mohamad. We were interested that they were allowed to bang on the windows and chant loudly, and it seemed that this may have delayed our flight, which was at the same gate as Mohamads flight. The protesters had been requesting that passengers support the protest and refuse to secure their seatbelt, but this was about the most we managed to interpret. Meanwhile out on the runway, a young man was being escorted from the plane to a nearby police car. Despite a Google search we couldn't find any further info on the event, but I had started to wonder if we might miss our connecting flight. But no, once we were all quickly boarded, and despite the man in front of us continuing his phone call while we were taxiing on the run way, we seemed to get away promptly. I wondered what the air hostess was waving on about, then realised that this was the safety briefing. We couldn't hear the instructions, though they were in English, but a bit slap dash compared to how well our home airline manages this.
Our stopover in Brussels was just long enough to remember how intoxicating the beers are, and then we were off again on the next flight to Prague. Ignoring the extra cost and prebooking a taxi to meet and greet and relay us to our hotel was a nice end to the days travel, and we arrived at our delightful 1500 th century Prague hotel, feeling like we were in wonderland. Hand painted Renaissance ceiling in our room overlooking the Charles bridge.
