Croatia

We survived sleeping on the interior deck for the 10 hour overnight sailing from Bari to Dubrovnik. Although I was feeling less than my best in spite of getting about 5 hours sleep. Heather was on a roll though, and I eventually decided to wake her at 7:30 am as we had bedded down near the restaurant area and all the cabin dwellers were coming for breky and having a good old nosey-poke.

Before we even disembarked we could see that Dubrovnik was a gorgeous city spreading over the hillsides down to blue waters. We bypassed the town however, and went straight to Camping Kate, where we set up for our stay.

Had a leisurely stroll down the hill for 500 meters to the bay's below. The water was crystal clear, aqua blue and very inviting. Had a swim, then a stroll, then wandered up to enjoy a fantastic seafood lunch (fresh grilled whole fish, tiny sweet mussels, octopus, squid and prawns - served with a tasty mix of boiled potatoes silverbeet and broccoli) all with glorious views over the bay's. Toasted heather for a happy birthday, then another swim before heading back up the hill to the camp where we are settled in beside a tiny old chapel in a quiet spot with great views over the water.

We love it here!
